Kalup Phillips joined the WBKO News team in July 2021 as News Director.
He spent ten years in Jonesboro, Ark., at KAIT - a fellow Gray Television station. At KAIT, he served in various roles, including Evening News Producer, Executive Producer, and most recently, Assistant News Director.
Kalup has helped lead news teams through severe weather, breaking news, elections, and other significant events. Much of that experience helped him lead the WBKO team through the coverage of the December 2021 tornadoes.
Kalup is a native of East Prairie, Missouri, and a graduate of Arkansas State University.
